The Foreign Office has streamlined passport advice for Spain, Portugal, France, Croatia and several other countries.

 According to the Mirror, the new advice reads" If you're planning to travel to an EU country( except Ireland), or Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino or Vatican City, you must follow the Schengen area passport conditions.

" Your passport must be

 â€¢ issued lower than 10 times before the date you enter the country( check the ‘ date of issue ’)

 â€¢ valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave( check the ‘ expiry date ’)

" You must check your passport meets these conditions before youtravel.However, redundant months may have been added to its expiry date, If your passport was issued before 1 October 2018.

" communicate the delegacy of the country you're visiting if you suppose that your passport doesn't meet both these conditions. Renew your passport if you need to."
