This is Europe's Safest Nation for Travellers – Can you Guess the Name?

When choosing a vacation destination, safety is unarguably at the top of many people's list of factors. And, one such location that is known for being a low danger is located less than two hours from the UK.

Gamblino.com carried out a study, using several factors to find where the danger was the lowest. Factors comprise the global peace index, homicide and assault statistics, data on traffic collisions, and the likelihood of natural disasters.

And, the study determined Switzerland as Europe's safest country.

Travellers are likely to feel highly safe in this country because of the extremely low rates of homicide, assault, and traffic fatalities, according to the study.

Switzerland also has one of the lowest perceptions of corruption in Europe and relatively lower dangers of natural disasters.

"For travellers who want to explore Europe’s beauty, this is a must-visit destination with scenic hiking trails and stunning ski slopes."

Iceland came in second place, followed by Denmark and Norway in the Nordic region. And, after Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Austria, Luxembourg took fifth place.

The cheapest flight takes off from London Luton to Geneva, Switzerland, with easyJet takes approximately 1 hour 40 minutes and costs just £19. Other airlines operating on this route include Swiss, Jet2, and British Airways.

In addition to confirming that Switzerland has a "low rate of serious crime," the UK Foreign Office issued a warning about a few robberies in Geneva.

Even celebrities love spending vacations in Switzerland. Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae were seen together on a romantic getaway to the country last year. Also recently, Mrs Hinch shared about her ski trip to Switzerland with her family.
